After ten years, JoJo has finally released the music video for her new pop/rock/R&B-tinged single Disaster which has only just been released to radio. The song debuted at #87 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a week, before quickly disappearing, but let's hope with this, the girl will be on her way up again, back into the upper reaches of the Top 10 where she truly deserves. (Whether that can happen in 2011 is another story altogether though)
The video for Disaster is relatively simple, with JoJo in a dysfunctional relationship, playing her guitar to drown on her partner's shouting, and singing her wee little heart out with her band. Typical JoJo video then.
Nothing groundbreaking, but here's hoping somehow or another, this becomes a MASSIVE hit.
It seems the MTV VMAs can only do so much. Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera's Moves Like Jagger dethrones Adele's Someone Like You from the #1 spot after only one week with Maroon 5 and co. picking up the Digital Gainer title while Adele settles for #2. Rihanna just sneaks into the top 10 of the Hot 100 with her bland new single Cheers (Drink To That) at #10, making it upteenth Top 10 single on the Hot 100. Despite RCA screwing her over and over, time and again, Kelly Clarkson powers through as her new single Mr. Know It All debuts at #18 on the chart this week. Jason DeRulo's It Girl is really leaping up the chart, vaulting up to #38 up from #61. Demi Lovato is still continuing on a upward trend as Skyscraper rises to #60. Poor Beyonce. It seems being pregnant only gets you so much press, and Love On Top plummets half the spots of the Hot 100, falling from #20 to #70 this week. Adele's got another track round the corner as Set Fire To The Train makes a new peak of #72. Colbie Caillat's latest Brighter Than The Sun moves up to #82 while American Idol winner Scotty McCreery lands himself at #84 with The Trouble With Girls. After a multiple year of absence on the Hot 100, everyone's favourite childhood pop star JoJo has finally made a return with the pop/rock stomper Disaster debuting at #87.
Over on the albums chart, Lil Wayne holds strong with Tha Carter IV hogging the top spot, closely followed by Brit sensation Adele at #2.
It's been a long time coming. Messy label problems aside, JoJo has given us an insight to what her next album era could be like, flipping Drake's Marvin's Room to a female perspective and cursing up a storm while doing so, singing about making love in the paint with Travis Garland, crooning about being someone's lover only in the bedroom with The Other Chick and releasing the "edgy" mixtape that was Can't Take That Away From Me last year.
Now, however, JoJo has returned to her roots with her angsty breakup song to smash JoJo back into the charts and into the ears of the new dance/pop music loving generation. Disaster has been described as reminiscent to her smash single Too Little Too Late back in 2006, and it's true. It's guitar-driven and has a huge swept up production sweeping the chorus in the same way Joe Jonas' See No More does too.
JoJo has been keeping under the radar ever since her record company ran into financial problems, and she demanded to be released from her contract, quickly being signed again under a new deal with Blackground/Interscope Records. Ever since then, she dropped a mixtape Can't Take That Away From Me and changed the title of her forthcoming third disc from All I Want Is Everything to Jumping Trains.
Nevertheless, JoJo sneaked a new single The Other Chick to iTunes which flopped. Not surprising, considering no one knew JoJo had a new single, and the single was much too dated for 2011 pop radio.
But now, we finally have something concrete: JoJo herself tweeted, ""DISASTER" - 1ST OFFICIAL SINGLE FROM JUMPING TRAINS. Can't Wait For You All to Hear It. #TWEETUrFaveRadioStation #MoreDetailsComingSoon" I assume since they're starting to build up hype for it, it's actually going to happen.
Apparently, American radio station 933FLZ has heard the song, and tweeted to a JoJo fansite that Disaster "sounds similar to "Too Little Too Late." Pure pop and really good! Coming to 93.3 FLZ and pop radio soon."
Meanwhile while you're hyperventilating over new JoJo music that's actually going to see our favourite childhood pop star return to slay Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and all the other ridiculous pop tarts that think they can stand in the way of The JoJo, you can check out her uber sexy collaboration with close friend Travis Garland on Paint, a song off his mixtape.
I just wanna do you in the paint, I wanna make love to you in the place I I, rollin' around in the mess that we made, brushin' and strokin' the best sex we made. And imma put it in your hair, and you're rubbin' it on everywhere. I just wanna do you in the paint oh oh.. Boy don't be shy I know you ain't..
Big News: JoJo announces new album title "Jumping Trains"!
I almost peed myself with excitement watching this. JoJo has released a new video on YouTube to announce some exciting news. Her third album was set to be All I Want Is Everything for a long time coming, but has decided that Jumping Trains would be more representative of the entire album, thinking of the changes that took place from her last two albums to her latest release with a tentative release date of later this year. She also mentions that Jumping Trains is one of her favourite songs on the album. Also, she says that she'll be shooting the music video for the lead single in the next couple weeks.
Big News: JoJo's return to music to be preceded by "Sexy To Me"
JoJo was back in Boston recently to do a gig and one of the songs covered by a random news site was a song called Sexy To Me, which sounds pretty good from the video. Her album is still tentatively titled All I Want Is Everything which I don't think will change. Ahhh I want new JoJo music now!
I will say, I expected more from the clip. I wanted more of a.. Christina Aguilera You Lost Me music video effect? The one where she sort of "fades away"..? Never mind. It's alright, but I expected more. But gosh, when she's without those blindfolds, girl looks SMOKIN'.
The return of pop/R&B starlet JoJo is highly anticipated. She first gave fans a sneak peek to some new music with In The Dark and now, the complete mixtape is here! Can't Take That Away From Me is described by JoJo as experimental and it won't be as mainstream as the stuff you'll hear on her third studio album All I Want Is Everything. However, besides In The Dark itself, I think it isn't too far off from what you can expect. I really, really love this and I'm so glad it's an official release from JoJo and not a leak this time. You HAVE to download this and check it out! Enjoy!
Fans have been eagerly anticipating JoJo's return to the music industry with her official first mixtape Can't Take That Away From Me which will be available September 7th. Honestly, it may seem a little on first listen but keep in mind that In The Dark is from Can't Take That Away From Me, which is described by JoJo as being "experimental" and that the third studio album All I Want Is Everything will be radio-friendly. Nevertheless, it's a definite grower and I'm so glad she's back! Enjoy!

Big News: JoJo reveals "Can't Take That Away From Me" cover!
Pop/R&B songstress JoJo may have been absent from the music industry for 4 years, but it doesn't mean she hasn't been hard at work for her third studio album All I Want Is Everything which is expected to be released early next year. Meanwhile, a closer release date that everyone has been waiting for is her official mixtape Can't Take That Away From Me which comes out September 7th. Above is the official cover for Can't Take That Away From Me. The first single from Can't Take That Away From Me will be In The Dark which will premiere on Rap-Up TV next Monday! The sound will ditch the radio-friendly hits-in-the-making type of songs for experimental songs. No worries though, the radio-friendly material will be on her official third record All I Want is Everything.
Big News: JoJo talks to Rap-Up TV about "Can't Take That Away"
After the record label drama last year, JoJo has confirmed to Rap-Up TV that things are coming together and talks about the new mixtape Can't Take That Away From Me, which according to JoJo, is more soulful and more experimental as compared to her third record All I Want Is Everything. Speaking of All I Want Is Everything, JoJo confirms that her third studio album will be in stores early 2011. Meanwhile, for Can't Take That Away From Me, the first single, In The Dark will have a "sad" tone to it. I CAN'T WAIT!
After lying low for a couple of years since 2007's The High Road, pop/R&B starlet JoJo's already been in the studio working on her third album All I Want Is Everything with producers Chad and Kenna, Tank, DJ Toomp, J. Moss, Toby Gad, The Underdogs, Danja, J.R. Rotem, Billy Steinberg, Bryan-Michael Cox, Marsha Ambrosius, Madd Scientist, Tony Dixon, Eric Dawkins, and J. Gatsby. On her Twitter lately, she confirmed she's going to release her new mixtape Can't Take That Away From Me next month which features (I Only Know Him) In The Dark. I'm so excited for this new release!
Pop/R&B artist JoJo has been hard at work recording for her next album tentatively titled All I Want Is Everything with producers like Kenna, Timbaland and more. JoJo uploaded this new song Wait A Minute (For Your Love) on her Myspace and it's a cool R&B track with according to JoJo, doesn't fit with the rest of the album. This is definitely different from what we're used to hearing from JoJo but I love it nonetheless. Enjoy!
With the many leaks from JoJo recently, and they've all been good tracks incidentally, here's another one to join the myraid of others. But it's good news to hear that after the distributing deal has been finalized with her label, she's headed back to work, possibly recording new songs for All I Want Is Everything, which is due early next year. Here's a new track Hooked On You produced by The Insomniax which is pretty good, albeit not really single material. It's not bad though. Check it out.

JoJo's fourth studio album is scheduled for an early 2010 release and I'm really very excited. Here we have 2 more tracks leaked, besides the album-full number of other tracks that leaked before called Back Words and Safe With Me. Enjoy.

JoJo's third studio album All I Want Is Everything will see the light of day, but it seems all the tracks from the album are leaking and I'm afraid the whole album will just leak and no one will buy her album since they've already got the tracks. Anyway, here's a new one, called How You Did It.

JoJo's third studio album All I Want Is Everything is set for an early 2010 release after finalizing a deal with her record label. Here we have a new track Impossible To Love which is an upbeat R&B track. I really can't wait for All I Want Is Everything.

So many demos from JoJo has leaked and I thought I might as well compile them into one post like what I did with Nicole Scherzinger. I can't wait for her third album All I Want Is Everything.
JoJo new track: Keep Forgetting (To Forget About You)
Good news. JoJo has finalized a deal with her record label and the album All I Want Is Everything, will be released by the end of the year. I'm excited for her album already. Here's another track that leaked, Keep Forgetting (To Forget About You).

Artist Of The Month. (November 2011)
The Power Rangers of British pop, The Saturdays, are returning this year with a more mature sound and image, with the girlband taking a stab at the pop/dance wave with their fourth album On Your Radar's first single Notorious being a total flip in direction in their sound, and was noticeably more clubby compared to their previous singles and albums. They then took things a level further with the complete rave-tastic All Fired Up, which is without a doubt their best single release, not surprising since the track was produced by production powerhouse Xenomania, the machine behind pretty much all of Girls Aloud's discography. The pop five-piece are charging forward with the Christmassy ballad My Heart Takes Over before their album On Your Radar drops November 21st!
