Big News: We Are The Fallen unveils single cover "Tear The World Down"
The title track and second single lifted from We Are The Fallen's debut album will be released October 12th and the radio edit is said to cut the song's original length from about 6 minutes to about 4 minutes. Prior to the release of the single, the band asked fans to guess what the next single would be and create a single cover for their guesses. But the official one you see here was a pre-picked single cover, not a fan's submission. I really like the single cover, it's pretty cool. What do you think?
Big News: We Are The Fallen announces new single "Tear The World Down"!
Rumours were floating about that rock band We Are The Fallen's second single off debut record Tear The World Down was going to be the haunting ballad (also known as my favourite from the album) Sleep Well, My Angel but instead, the band has chosen the title track of their album Tear The World Down to be released. Through Myspace, the band requested for fans to submit covers of different songs off the album and the official single cover for Tear The World Down will supposedly be chosen from their fans' artwork. Nevertheless, Tear The World Down will be released October 12th.

Lady Gaga stays put at #6 with Alejandro. The Black Eyed Peas' Rock That Body moves up and peaks at #16 this week. Miley Cyrus' Can't Be Tamed falls 10 places to #18 this week, but with more promotion, I'm sure Cyrus' single will start climbing again. Lee DeWyze's coronation single Beautiful Day, a cover of the U2 classic, lands him at #24, noticeably much lower compared to last season's winner Kris Allen with his coronation song No Boundaries which peaked at #11 last year. He also places a cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah at #44 and The Boxer at #88. Carrie Underwood's Undo It shoots up to #25 up from #59 last week thanks to that performance on the American Idol Grand Finale. Carrie Underwood's Play On moves up 11 spots to #24 this week. Miranda Cosgrove's debut album Sparks Fly isn't falling as fast as I thought it initially would, dropping just 2 places from last week to #45 this week. We Are The Fallen's Tear the World Down falls to #160 in its third week, thanks to hardly any promotion.
Usher continues his Hot 100 domination with OMG while last week's #2 Katy Perry's California Gurls slips to #3 despite earning the "Airplay Gainer" title. Lady Gaga's Alejandro leaps over Ke$ha's Your Love Is My Drug at #6 and #7 respectively. Earning herself a Top 10 debut is Miley Cyrus with brand new single Can't Be Tamed, arriving on the Hot 100 at #8. The Black Eyed Peas' Rock That Body sits right outside the Top 20 this week at #21 while Alicia Keys' Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready) enters the Top 30 at #27 this week. Carrie Underwood's Undo It is quickly making its way up the charts, leaping to #59 this week up from #73. Colbie Caillat's I Never Told You reamains at #63 for a second week in a row. Christina Aguilera's Not Myself Tonight falls to #73 this week but the second single WooHoo featuring Nicki Minaj off Bionic debuts at #79, which isn't so bad, I guess. Jason DeRulo's Ridin' Solo returns to the Hot 100 at #84.
Glee bows at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart while Lady Antebellum's Need You Now slips to #6. Charice's debut international album slips to #28 with barely any promotion this week. Miranda Cosgrove's Sparks Fly falls to #43 this week. We Are The Fallen's Tear The World Down falls to #104. Carrie Underwood's third official single Undo It from Play On moves up to its current peak of #73 while fellow American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson wounds out the Hot 100 with All I Ever Wanted.
Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 returns to #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and Asian singer Charice debuts at #8 with her international debut album. We Are The Fallen's debut album Tear The World Down is ridden with big rock numbers and rock ballads, and behind that sound is the core of We Are The Fallen, lead singer Carly Smithson. Few American Idol alumni have crossed to this side of rock, and it seems Smithson's voice was tailor-made for rock. "Tear the World Down sounds like a big movie soundtrack" as is claimed. And in fact, it does. The strings, the choirs, give the album a haunting feel so easily heard on their debut single Bury Me Alive. Clear standouts on the album include Bury Me Alive, I Am Only One, and Don't Leave Me Behind. So they sound like a big movie soundtrack, but who doesn't love that?

And of course, the North American leg will be shared with Aguilera as said, and you can expect more worldwide dates to be announced for The Labyrinth Tour.

There's no major release in May besides rock band We Are The Fallen who will be releasing their debut album Tear the World Down on the 10th and 11th of May in the UK and the US respectively. Thus, I have chosen them to be May's Artist Of The Month, that is, until many artists announce a May album release at the eleventh hour, which isn't likely to happen. Their debut single Bury Me Alive is out now and if you haven't seen the album cover for Tear The World Down yet, here it is.

Jordin has mentioned she has other songs in mind for the third single in the US. Shortly after Jordin's album was released Dobson said, "Jordin Sparks just did [that song], which was on Sunday Love, which was very cool. She did kind of, like, a more R&B version of it, which I think is really nice, actually. It was really cool that she didn't try and do a rock version of it, and she did what she's more comfortable with, which I thought was awesome."
• Pixie Lott's debut studio effort has done quite well in her native country and she is even up for awards at the BRIT Awards ceremony. It is already available, and was released February 1st.
• Also noteworthy are We Are The Fallen's debut single, which has almost a complete minute over the previous digital download release. Bury Me Alive was sent to radio stations and was available in the US, UK, Canada and Ireland music stores as of February 2nd.
Irish rocker Carly Smithson came in sixth on Season 7 of American Idol and was supposedly working on a solo album, but since then, Carly had join some of Evanescenece ex-members to form a brand new rock group called We Are The Fallen. The band has confirmed that they have finished recording for their debut album and Carly's supposedly scrapped solo album is not, and perhaps Carly might release her solo album. In an interview, she mentioned that this song Let Me Fall was recorded for her solo album, but right now, I think Let Me Fall could end up on We Are The Fallen's debut album due out early next year. Nevertheless, here's a thirty second preview. Enjoy!
We Are the Fallen is a band consisting of former American Idol contestant Carly Smithson, Marty O'Brien, and former Evanescence members Ben Moody, Rocky Gray, and John LeCompt. On October 28, 2009, We Are the Fallen signed a record deal with Universal Republic for release of their full length debut album in early 2010. The original plan was to release two songs for free over the internet every two months and afterward compiling them onto a record with orchestral interludes. The band is currently in Los Angeles recording their debut album, set to be released in early 2010. The solo album Carly had been recording was reportedly scrapped, though she later confirmed on her Twitter that she was still working on her solo project. Two new songs, called Lay With Me and Let Me Fall, have been recorded and are in a video of Carly recording songs for her album.
This also means that Carly, along with We Are The Fallen has been signed. I hope both of their albums (the group's and Carly's solo project) get released in 2010 soon!
I don't really listen to hardcore rock, but I definitely won't be able to turn down a good song. And I can't resist American Idol too. So, Carly Smithson regrouped with some of Evanescence's former members. I was definitely excited. And their debut single, definitely will bring Evanescence to mind. Nevertheless, it's a solid hit that Carly's immaculate vocals suit so much. This is what definitely see her doing and hope she makes it big.

Artist Of The Month. (November 2011)
The Power Rangers of British pop, The Saturdays, are returning this year with a more mature sound and image, with the girlband taking a stab at the pop/dance wave with their fourth album On Your Radar's first single Notorious being a total flip in direction in their sound, and was noticeably more clubby compared to their previous singles and albums. They then took things a level further with the complete rave-tastic All Fired Up, which is without a doubt their best single release, not surprising since the track was produced by production powerhouse Xenomania, the machine behind pretty much all of Girls Aloud's discography. The pop five-piece are charging forward with the Christmassy ballad My Heart Takes Over before their album On Your Radar drops November 21st!
