Cascada - San Francisco [Music Video Premiere]

After random single releases such as Pyromania and Night Nurse, German eurodance pop trio Cascada are back with a new lead single San Francisco. Unfortunately, San Francisco sounds all too generic, and lacks the usual oomph of Cascada's best tracks such as Evacuate The Dancefloor and Pyromania. It's still catchy and fun, but lacks originality and the video isn't great either.

But you can probably see Natalie Horler has gotten rid of the brunette streaks in her hair. Perhaps they thought it was time for a new cleaner, less spunky image? Either way, I need the grit in Evacuate The Dancefloor which is sorely missing from this California Gurls-esque track.

Cascada new track: Pyromania

German eurodance/pop trio Cascada just released their worldwide hit Evacacuate The Dancefloor and you might be thinking they would ride on this success just a little longer. But it seems Cascada had been hard at work, this song Pyromania recently premiered on a German radio station and it isn't a departure for Cascada and it's exactly what we are used to hearing from Cascada. Enjoy!

Guess what people? Black Eyed Peas is STILL at #1 with I Gotta Feeling this week on the Hot 100. This really begs the question, "Who will replace them?". that'd be interesting to see. Meanwhile, You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift climbs the charts once again to #4, up from #6 last week. Miley Cyrus' latest Party In The USA drops to #6. Mariah Carey's Obsessed seems to like the #11 spot, it is thoroughly deserving of a higher spot. Beyonce's Sweet Dreams jumped from #33 last week to a new peak of #18. Jordin Sparks' Battlefield drops to #21. Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone is sure to be another hit for her, climbing up 4 spots to #31. Cascada's Evacuate The Dancefloor was just rising just last week but has dropped to #47 again. Happy, the first single of Leona Lewis' second album Echo, has debuted at #50 this week. I honestly expected a lot more from her and also expected it to debut higher from the charts. But I have a feeling it will definitely rise next week. Mariah Carey's second single off Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel, I Wanna Know What Love Is, a cover of Foreigner's hit, debuts at #66 on the charts this week. Another BEP song debuts on the charts, Meet Me Halfway at #75. Will this be the song to continue The Black Eyed Peas streak of #1s so far? Whitney Houston's I Look To You climbs to a new peak of #83 this week. Carrie Underwood's lead single from third studio album Play On, Cowboy Casanova debuts at #96. This track needs to climb, simply because it's amazing.

Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 proves it isn't a one-hit wonder, spending its second consecutive week at number 1. Due to her guest star on Oprah, Whitney Houston got that sales boost and as a result, slotted back into #2. Nelly Furtado's full-length spanish album Mi Plan debuts this week at #39. Marie Digby's Breathing Underwater peaks at #183 this week.

Cascada - Evacuate The Dancefloor (Single Review)

Cascada is back with their 3rd album called Evacuate The Dancefloor. This is the lead single of the same title, and I love it! Cascada has evolved from the very Europop Dance Anthem into a kind of Electropop, which is a hot genre for many artists that have released their albums this year. Natalie Horler also has a new look, mainly with the hair and everything, but she still looks as amazing and sounds as awesome as ever. I think they've made themselves more contemporary and this single is a swinging good club hit. You might argue that in terms of club hits, it can't compete with Lady Gaga's Just Dance. But I don't think it's all that bad, and in fact I really think it's a bit more addictive than Just Dance. Since the blog started, no single has been rated 5 stars. But that's about to change. You have to listen to it and get your copy of the album.
