Big News: New Leighton Meester track surfaces online!
Let's face it. Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester's debut solo pop album will never see the light of day unless she manages to somehow churn out a hit from this project. Everything we've heard so far sounds very promising - including her debut single Somebody To Love and second single Your Love's A Drug. A new track called Front Cut surfaced online recently, and it just proves Leighton can dish out a killer pop track. Unfortunately, her success (or lack thereof) as a pop star isn't exactly what you'd call headline hitting for the right reasons, I blame all this on lousy promotion. Did we ever get a major performance from her? NEVER.
Not even for the VERYBLOODYFANTASTIC Your Love's A Drug. I DO NOT approve.
Big News: Leighton Meester offers a preview of Country Strong's Summer Girl
If you were skeptical of Leighton Meester's role in Country Strong, a film that has lots to do with Country music, you weren't alone. Taylor Swift masquerades as a country artist when she really is pop and is selling millions, and I could see Leighton doing the same. Although we've seen Jessica Simpson's attempts to turn to Country to flog her dying career.. Nevertheless, I think Leighton should stick to acting, but she did have some pop gems under her belt.. Like Your Love's A Drug.
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester will release her self-titled debut album in the first half of the year, and has already released her first single Somebody To Love, featuring Robin Thicke. What we have here is a leaked track called Your Love's A Drug and if this isn't the second single, it will most likely be on the album, although there's no confirmation yet.
Leighton Meester new track: Somebody To Love (ft. Robin Thicke)
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester was featured on Cobra Starship's single Good Girls Go Bad which peaked to #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, boosting Leighton Meester's reputation in the music industry. She has been hard at work for her debut album which doesn't have a release date yet. Somebody To Love, the first single off the album has premiered and it features Robin Thicke.

Artist Of The Month. (November 2011)
The Power Rangers of British pop, The Saturdays, are returning this year with a more mature sound and image, with the girlband taking a stab at the pop/dance wave with their fourth album On Your Radar's first single Notorious being a total flip in direction in their sound, and was noticeably more clubby compared to their previous singles and albums. They then took things a level further with the complete rave-tastic All Fired Up, which is without a doubt their best single release, not surprising since the track was produced by production powerhouse Xenomania, the machine behind pretty much all of Girls Aloud's discography. The pop five-piece are charging forward with the Christmassy ballad My Heart Takes Over before their album On Your Radar drops November 21st!
