New Single Updates

• British pop princess Pixie Lott is unstoppable. Pixie's debut album Turn It Up has already gone platinum in the UK, shifting over 400, 000 copies, plus two #1s in the UK, and her recently released single Gravity has become her fourth consecutive UK Top 40 hit. The 5th single is confirmed to be My Love to be released in the UK on the 7th of June.

• Canadian jazz/pop singer Michael Buble has done very well for his latest album Crazy Love has gone multi-platinum worldwide since its release late last year. The third single is confirmed for a March 15th UK release confirmed to be Cry Me A River.

• The soulful crooner better known as Alexandra Burke will release a US version of Overcome, her debut album which has since gone platinum in the UK, somewhere around April this year if things go as planned. The third single from the album was originally expected to be The Silence but will instead be a remix version of one of the songs that is already available on the UK edition of Overcome called All Night Long, although the release date is still unknown.

• Whitney Houston's comeback world tour hasn't been too successful, with the date in Brisbane, Australia had people walking out of her concert saying she has lost that voice that propelled her to fame. But I don't think she has "lost" her famed voice, and that's probably what her label thinks as well. The next single set for a UK release of April 5th will be Nothin' But Love.

Billboard Update

This week, the Black Eyed Peas continue their domination on the Hot 100 with I Gotta Feeling. Miley Cyrus' Party In The USA is #3 this week. Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me is #6 this week. Lady Gaga's Paparazzi remains at #7 and Mariah Carey's Obsessed rises up the charts again at #9 this week, 2 spots away from its peak of #7. Just last week, Carrie Underwood's newest single debuted at #96 on the Billboards last week, but it has jumped so high up on the charts on #11, which I feel, is pretty commendable. It still needs to climb though, and has the potential to. Shakira's She Wolf remains at #13 this week while Beyonce's Sweet Dreams climbs again to a new peak at #15. Wow, every single has done so well. Another climber, Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone is #27 this week, its peak so far. Cascada's club banger climbs 1 spot to #46. The Black Eyed Peas follow closely at #47, up from #75 the previous week. Alicia Keys' newest single Doesn't Mean Anything debuts on the charts this week at #61. The second single off Mariah's 12th studio album drops to #75 from #66 the previous week. Shockingly, Leona Lewis' much anticipated single Happy has dropped to #83 this week, when it debuted at #50 last week and I thought would climb simply because it's Leona Lewis.

Backspacer's Pearl Jam knocks Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 into second place this week. Whitney Houston's comeback album I Look To You is still selling well, at #4 this week. Mika's The Boy Who Knew Too Much debuts at #19 this week. Nelly Furtado's Mi Plan drops to #110 from #39 from the previous week it debuted.

Billboard Update

Guess what people? Black Eyed Peas is STILL at #1 with I Gotta Feeling this week on the Hot 100. This really begs the question, "Who will replace them?". that'd be interesting to see. Meanwhile, You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift climbs the charts once again to #4, up from #6 last week. Miley Cyrus' latest Party In The USA drops to #6. Mariah Carey's Obsessed seems to like the #11 spot, it is thoroughly deserving of a higher spot. Beyonce's Sweet Dreams jumped from #33 last week to a new peak of #18. Jordin Sparks' Battlefield drops to #21. Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone is sure to be another hit for her, climbing up 4 spots to #31. Cascada's Evacuate The Dancefloor was just rising just last week but has dropped to #47 again. Happy, the first single of Leona Lewis' second album Echo, has debuted at #50 this week. I honestly expected a lot more from her and also expected it to debut higher from the charts. But I have a feeling it will definitely rise next week. Mariah Carey's second single off Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel, I Wanna Know What Love Is, a cover of Foreigner's hit, debuts at #66 on the charts this week. Another BEP song debuts on the charts, Meet Me Halfway at #75. Will this be the song to continue The Black Eyed Peas streak of #1s so far? Whitney Houston's I Look To You climbs to a new peak of #83 this week. Carrie Underwood's lead single from third studio album Play On, Cowboy Casanova debuts at #96. This track needs to climb, simply because it's amazing.

Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 proves it isn't a one-hit wonder, spending its second consecutive week at number 1. Due to her guest star on Oprah, Whitney Houston got that sales boost and as a result, slotted back into #2. Nelly Furtado's full-length spanish album Mi Plan debuts this week at #39. Marie Digby's Breathing Underwater peaks at #183 this week.

Whitney Houston performs!

After so long, R&B diva Whitney Houston performed some of her songs from comeback album I Look To You. I don't care about what they say about her not having her voice that she's famous for. I still love her.

Whitney Houston - I Didn't Know My Own Strength (Single Review)

Track Listing:
I Didn't Know My Own Strength

This is a slow ballad, the first single for Whitney Houston's big comeback 2009 album - I Look To You. Looks like Whitney still has that killer voice, probably not as strong as when she was in her prime, but she looks better than ever, and this track has a contemporary pop sound to it. This is the kind of music Whitney should be doing, which should have her collecting money at home for more than a lifetime. I Didn't Know My Own Strength was probably inspired by someone and lyrically, it is really good. It's a really nice song, definitely check it out.
