Britney Spears does it again. 3, the lead single off her Singles Collection album which celebrates her success in the music industry from 1999-2009, tops the charts and debuts, in over 3 years, at the top spot. Meanwhile, Jay Sean, who sent the Black Eyed Peas packing into #5 last week, is #2 now on the charts and Miley Cyrus' Party In The USA follows behind. Nothing new besides Owl City's Fireflies peaks at #9 this week. Mariah's first single off Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel drops to #11 with Beyonce's Sweet Dreams at #12 spending its 12th week on the charts which has since peaked at #12. Uncanny, huh. MRAs nominated new artist Justin Bieber's One Less Lonely Girl debuts at #16 and debut single One Time peaks at #21. Kelly Clarkson's Already Gone peaks at #19 this week with Carrie Underwood's newest single Cowboy Casanova drops to #20. Chris Brown's I Can Transform Ya debuts at #52. OneRepublic joins the slew of artists that have debuted this week. All The Right Moves debuts at #58 this week. Michael Buble re-enters the Hot 100 at #90 with Haven't Met You Yet.
Along with the new single re-entering the charts, Michael Buble tops the Billboard 200 with his latest album Crazy Love which beat KISS' Sonic Boom and Toby Keith's American Ride. The Backstreet Boys' latest offering This Is Us debuts at #9. Blake Lewis' sophomore album Heartbreak On Vinyl debuts at #135. Canadian singer Lights debuts at #129 this week.
Blake Lewis' sophomore album Heartbreak On Vinyl is out and it took me quite a while to find this. Nevertheless, I hope Blake gets more fame with this album because he simply deserves to, even after the first single off his album Sad Song didn't create much of an impact. Enjoy!
Blake Lewis' sophomore album Heartbreak On Vinyl will be released later in the year - October 6th. Here we have another track from the album entitled Afraid. Enjoy!
American Idol Season 6 runner-up Blake Lewis has released his debut album A.D.D. (Audio Daydream) and is now under a new label Tommy Boy Records and will be release Heartbreak On Vinyl on 6th of October and has already released the first single Sad Song and here is the title track.
Has he gotten a British accent or something? It feels weird. But nevertheless, this is an electronica dance anthem that doesn't show any vocal range or whatsoever. But it is a change however. It's like a male version of Cascada. His second album that will be coming out under Tommy Boy Records should be something Blake Lewis fans should look out for. But you know, this doesn't really stick in your head. I'm not saying it's forgettable, but then again, it isn't really catchy. You're better off listening to Lady Gaga, although he is rather different, and I'll give him props for that.
We review the latest in 21st century. Mostly we do pop, but it doesn't really matter, along with new music premieres, video premieres, album premieres. If the links don't work, please notify me in the cbox right below and I will post a new link in the cbox. Thanks.
Artist Of The Month. (November 2011)
The Power Rangers of British pop, The Saturdays, are returning this year with a more mature sound and image, with the girlband taking a stab at the pop/dance wave with their fourth album On Your Radar's first single Notorious being a total flip in direction in their sound, and was noticeably more clubby compared to their previous singles and albums. They then took things a level further with the complete rave-tastic All Fired Up, which is without a doubt their best single release, not surprising since the track was produced by production powerhouse Xenomania, the machine behind pretty much all of Girls Aloud's discography. The pop five-piece are charging forward with the Christmassy ballad My Heart Takes Over before their album On Your Radar drops November 21st!
